That's one stat that you can really look at and say everyone on the team had a part in it. It's a complete team effort.

It's a little more subdued, I think. I think the kids have always been pointing to the state championship, and this is just another step of getting there. They're happy that they won, but they're focused on the next game.

There's been a number of (local) kids that have been picked up by Junior A teams.

A lot of people that don't get an opportunity to see him play, they just look at the scoring leaders and say he's just an offensive player. But Tyler is not afraid to go make hits, he's a terrific face-off man, he's a good penalty-killer.

Anyone who says we are a one-line team hasn't seen us play too often.

People say we are a one-line team because that one line is so dominant. We have some high-profile players, but we have more than just those people. It's a total team effort.

Down the stretch, everybody seems to bring up the fact that we kept getting behind after we hadn't done that all year. But the shots were 33 to 7 after two periods. Falling behind really meant nothing to us. It just meant we had to work a little bit harder.

At the beginning of the year, the kids' goal was to win states.

We felt we had control of the game even though we weren't playing too well. I thought the kids were pressing, but we were confident coming back in the third period.
